This 50-year-old female from San Marcos, CA had breast cancer 10 years ago that was treated with a right mastectomy. Her surgeon did not offer her reconstruction. She was recently diagnosed with a new cancer in the opposite left breast and was to undergo a left mastectomy by a different surgeon. Dr. Gupta was consulted for breast reconstruction. The patient underwent bilateral tissue expansion and breast reconstruction with silicone gel implants. These pictures were taken 6 months after surgery. The patient is very happy with her results and chose not to have any nipple reconstruction.
