This 49-year-old female from San Diego, CA underwent mastectomy for right breast cancer and underwent TRAM flap breast reconstruction by another plastic surgeon. She was unhappy with the results, particularly the size and shape of the reconstructed breast, and the left breast lift scars. She also had a very high abdominal scar and a right abdominal hernia. Dr. Gupta reshaped the right breast TRAM flap to improve symmetry and redid the left breast lift to remove the pigmented skin within the scar. He repaired the abdominal hernia and moved the scar down so it is now hidden in the patient’s underwear line. The patient is now very happy with her results.
