Breast Revision

This 47-year-old patient from Houston, TX had a mastectomy for breast cancer followed by chemotherapy. She then underwent breast reconstruction with a silicone implant insertion and right breast reduction by another plastic surgeon. The patient had placed multiple different scars on the breast during the stages of his reconstruction. The patient was left with a significant breast deformity and severe breast pain. Dr. Gupta performed bilateral breast revision including a repeat right breast lift and reduction. He removed the left breast implant and surrounding scar tissue and then reconstructed the breast with a free TRAM flap to restore a natural shape and feel. He removed the old nipple reconstruction and made a new one in a more appropriate location.
